Tara Unit Camp
Camp was held in the
June Long Weekend (8th – 11th). We were rained on for Friday night and
most of Saturday both inside and outside brownie cottage. Generally the
girls had a good time. Vanessa & Jezreel provided a very good & varied
menu. Thank you to Leea & Shannon for original camp activity planning.
And thank you to Simba for being Q.M. We completed a range of craft
while it rained, and once it cleared we visited Warragamba dam, had fun
at archery and even had to rescue Jemima from the dreaded Tree roots. On
saturday night we even attempted to send messages to the scouts, who
were camped at bents basin, via morse code. Every one had lots of fun.
Tara Farewell Camp
On
the 21st to the 23rd of August 3rd Blacktown Guides camped at Tara, for
the final camp, before the sale of the property is finalised. We went bushwalking, abseiling, we did archery, and went on a flying fox. And we participated in the last campfire, which was followed by a fantastic firework display.
